Training Course: Acupuncture
Description
Acupuncture has been a major part of primary healthcare in China for the last 5,000 years. As in many oriental medicine practices, the emphasis of acupuncture is on prevention. In traditional Chinese medicine, the highest form of acupuncture was given to enable you to live a long, healthy life.
The National Acupuncture College has been educating students since 1996. It is an independent college, which commenced teaching in England and then moved to Northern Ireland in 2002. Students who trained in the early years are now experienced practitioners.
The course has always been a home study based course for the theory aspects. Students find using a Multi Media approach to learning offers all the advantages of commitment to a high standard, whilst remaining flexible and able to adapt to the needs of each individual student. It avoids long, unnecessary and expensive journeys to a classroom, where often what is being taught is a mere repetition of material from a textbook. With the National College, students only come to class for those practical skills where demonstration and guidance are essential.
